Jose Castaneda

Jose Castaneda has extensive work experience in various engineering and management roles. Jose currently holds the position of Head of Engineering at Perrigo Company plc since 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Plant Engineering Manager at Bimbo Bakeries USA from 2019 to 2022, where they were responsible for maintenance performance turnaround and capital investments. Before that, they served as the Senior Facilities Manager at Entegris in 2017-2018, overseeing facility management and capital projects. From 2008 to 2017, they worked at Rexroth - Bosch Industrial Automation as the Technical & Engineering Functions Manager, focusing on equipment reliability, organizational development, and implementation of ERP systems. Earlier in their career, they held various positions at Robert Bosch - Automotive Chassis Division and Volkswagen de Mexico, where they gained expertise in operations management, lean manufacturing, and quality engineering. Jose also has experience as a PhD Candidate and Lean Manufacturing Consultant at Massachusetts Institute of Technology/Ford Motor Company, specializing in manufacturing strategy and production system design.

Jose Castaneda has a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Jose also holds a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from MIT. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Universidad de las Américas Puebla. Additionally, they have obtained a certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute.
