Leonel Lobão has a diverse work experience, spanning across multiple companies and roles. Leonel began their career in 2005 as a Field Sales Representative at RB, focusing on Modern Trade. In 2006, they joined HEINEKEN as an Account Manager in the Horeca sector, before moving on to a special assignment in Exports and then becoming a Key Account Manager for Intermarché & Dia%. During their time at HEINEKEN, Lobão achieved growth in sales and market share for both accounts. In 2008, they joined NOS SGPS as the Head of Modern Trade, where they led the transformation towards the Smartphone trend and developed successful partnerships with major retailers such as Worten, Auchan, and Fnac. Since 2013, Lobão has been working at Perrigo Company plc, first as the Head of Pharmacy & Export Sales for Portugal, and later as the Commercial Director and General Manager for Spain. Most recently, they assumed the role of Vice President of Sales for Europe.
Leonel Lobão completed an Executive Program in Aligning Strategy and Sales at Harvard Business School Executive Education in 2021. In 2005, they earned a Master's degree in Business & Management from Universidade Católica Portuguesa. Additionally, in 2004, they participated in an Erasmus program at Burgundy School of Business - BSB, focusing on Business & Management.
