Gayle Catropa has a long and varied work experience spanning several companies. Gayle started their career at Loehmann's in 1978 as a part-time sales associate and worked their way up to become a Regional Director, responsible for managing over 700 associates and handling approximately $100M in volume for the Tri-state area. Gayle held various store line positions during their tenure at Loehmann's.

In 2000, Gayle joined Kenneth Cole Productions, where they held several roles over the years, including Group Vice President HR, Senior Human Resources Leader, SVP Human Resources, and finally, Chief People Officer. Gayle was responsible for managing all human capital decisions, developing talent and culture management strategies, and driving the attraction, development, and retention of top talent.

In 2020, Gayle became a Member of the Board of Advisors at Hire Wells. And in 2022, they joined Perry Ellis International as the Chief Human Resources Officer.

Gayle Catropa attended Lynbrook High School from 1979 to 1981 and obtained a High School Diploma in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies. Gayle then attended Nassau Community College from 1980 to 1981 and studied Fashion Merchandising/Buying. In addition, they have obtained several certifications from LinkedIn, including "Be the Manager People Won't Leave," "How to Become a Thought Leader and Advance Your Career," "How to Create a Career You Love," "Giving and Receiving Feedback," "The Secrets to Success at Work," and "Improving Your Listening Skills."
