Jose Leonett Castillo

Jose Leonett Castillo has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Jose started their career as a Finance Intern at Servicios y Transporte Siglo 22 C.A in 2014. Following that, they worked as a Student Volunteer at Valencia College from 2016 to 2017. In 2019, they gained experience as a Travel Industry Sales Intern at Visit Orlando, where they analyzed economic data and assisted with marketing events. Jose then worked as a Financial Analyst at the Young Investors Club at the University of Central Florida in 2019. In 2020, they participated in the CFA Institute Ethics Challenge as a representative of UCF, showcasing their presentation and teamwork skills. Jose also worked as a Tax Associate at BNY Mellon | Pershing, where they assisted in tax form balancing and performed other tax operations functions. In 2021, they co-founded a transportation and logistics company called LC Transport and Logistics Corp, where they remotely managed a team and reviewed KPIs. Jose briefly worked as an Educator at Disney Springs for lululemon in 2023, providing product education and facilitating guest transactions. Currently, they are a Lead Representative Tax Management at BNY Mellon | Pershing, focusing on financial transaction taxes and processes related to obligations for both US and international clients.

Jose Leonett Castillo has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Economics - Business from the University of Central Florida, which they obtained from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they received an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Finance, General from Valencia College from 2015 to 2017. Additionally, in 2018, they earned a Certificate in Finance, General from IESA. In 2015, they completed the Intensive English Program at the University of Central Florida. Jose has also obtained several certifications, including Data Management, LIBOR Benchmark Reform, Trading Restrictions and Protecting MNPI, Anti-Money Laundering Certification, and Bloomberg Market Concepts.
