Avinash Bhide

As the Head of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) at Persistent, Avinash is responsible for establishing the risk management framework and its associated processes and programs, build awareness, and assess the framework’s effectiveness to facilitate a risk-management-driven, decision-making culture within the organization. His charter also includes providing leadership for effective risk governance and risk reporting to the senior management and Board of Directors.

A member of Persistent’s Risk Management Committee, Avinash has over 27 years of experience in risk management, including consulting and industry experience. He is a member of the Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS) India Advisory Board and actively participates in several external risk forums along with various domestic and international risk conferences.

Prior to Persistent, Avinash has held senior positions in ERM at organizations like SAP India and TCS. At SAP India, he was the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) officer. At TCS, Avinash was part of the Corporate Risk Office where he managed a diverse portfolio spanning across all service lines and several verticals, and critical corporate functions like the offices of the CTO and Environment Health and Safety (EHS) among others. Earlier, Avinash had worked at PwC in operational risk consulting and has also held various delivery roles in Tech Mahindra, Bristlecone, and IBM.

Avinash holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering and an Executive MBA besides being a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).
