Bernice Gonzalez has a diverse work experience that spans over a decade. Bernice Gonzalez is currently working as a Realtor (R) at Emajin Realty LLC, starting in May 2023. Prior to this, they were a Senior Planner at the Lake County Board of County Commissioners since August 2022.

In 2017, Bernice founded and served as the CEO of BIG Planning Consultants. Bernice Gonzalez utilized their trademark DESIGN LeverageTM Methodology to provide design process approaches to solve complex problems for organizations and projects in the public and private sectors internationally.

Before starting their consultancy firm, Bernice worked as a Regional Planner and Development Authority Officer for the County of Vermilion River from April 2015 to April 2020. In this role, they advised and assisted the Director, CAO, and Council on legislative and regulatory requirements related to planning and development. Bernice Gonzalez also developed strategies and plans to promote sustainable community development and manage efficient land use.

Additionally, Bernice has experience as a Guest Lecturer at Universidad Santo Tomás in October 2016 and was a Planning Commissioner for the Nevada City Planning Commission from June 2014 to April 2015. In their role as a Planning Commissioner, they made decisions on matters related to planning and development, including reviewing land use proposals and conducting public hearings.

Earlier in their career, Bernice worked as a Planner for McCamant & Durrett Architects/The Cohousing Company from March 2013 to April 2015. Bernice Gonzalez conducted research, prepared proposals and site plans, and facilitated participatory design workshops for multi-family housing and mixed-use projects in Canada. Before that, they interned as an Urban Design Proposal Developer at Barcelona City Hall, Sant Andreu District, from January 2010 to March 2011, where they reviewed technical reports, managed projects, and coordinated participatory processes.

Bernice Gonzalez, a REALTOR(R), CMP, PMI, AICP, has an extensive education history. Bernice Gonzalez obtained a National Advanced Certificate in Local Authority Administration from the University of Alberta from 2019 to 2021, specializing in Public Administration. Prior to that, they pursued a Doctor of Pubic Space and Urban Regeneration (ND) degree at the Universitat de Barcelona since 2012. Bernice Gonzalez also completed a Master's in Urban Design at the same university from 2010 to 2012, focusing on an interdisciplinary approach.

In 1987, Bernice Gonzalez began their education journey with a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Design from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras. Alongside their academic pursuits, they acquired various certifications from different institutes. Bernice Gonzalez became a Certified Transformation Life Coach through Transformation Academy in 2017-2018, specializing in Transformational Life Coaching. Subsequently, they completed certifications in Group Coaching and Advanced Counselling Practitioner from Transformation Academy and the Academy of Modern Applied Psychology, respectively, between 2018 and 2019. Additionally, they acquired qualifications such as Professional Spirituality Coach, CTAA Certified NLP Professional (Neurolinguistic Programming), and Certified Master Hypnotherapist from The KEW Training Academy from 2017 to 2018.

Bernice Gonzalez also has a strong interest in metaphysics, earning a Bachelor of Science in Metaphysics from the University of Metaphysics in 2017-2020. Currently, they are pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Conscious Business Ethics from the University of Sedona since 2020.

Furthermore, Bernice Gonzalez holds several certifications related to real estate and professional development. Bernice Gonzalez obtained a Real Estate Certification from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation in 2023. Bernice Gonzalez is also a certified Change Management Professional from the Acuity Institute, obtained in 2018.
