Robert Bruce

VP, Reimbursement at Personalis

Robert Bruce is the current Vice President of Reimbursement at Personalis. Robert has held this position since August 2015. Prior to this, they were the Vice President of Reimbursement at Clinical Genomics from April 2004 to August 2015. In this role, they were responsible for all aspects of public and private reimbursement of molecular diagnostics for colorectal cancer screening and monitoring-focused CLIA-certified laboratory and FDA-regulated medical device manufacturer. Robert also developed and managed the internal billing department, including the implementation of a SaaS revenue cycle management system. In addition, they led the public payer (primarily CMS) strategy and tactics to obtain Medicare coverage, coding and appropriate payment for innovative diagnostics. Robert also developed and managed the private payer account executive team. Robert drafted the reimbursement dossier and worked closely with the medical science liaison team on clinical trial design and health economics modeling and publications.

Prior to their work in the healthcare industry, Bruce was a Board Member at Lihua International, Inc. from April 2009 to June 2014, and China North East Petroleum Holdings, Ltd. from May 2008 to August 2010.

Robert Bruce has a MBA in Management from Yale School of Management and a BA in East Asian Studies from Princeton University. Robert also has studied Mandarin Chinese at Inter-University Program, Taipei, Taiwan and Middlebury College Summer Language Schools.

They are on a team with Richard Chen - Chief Science Officer, Stephen Moore - VP, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary, and Leslie Grab - VP, Intellectual Property. Their manager is John West, CEO.
