Yohannes Mihiret

Yohannes Mihiret is a cell biologist with extensive experience in the biotechnology field, currently working in Cell Biology at Personalized Stem Cells, Inc. since April 2023. Prior to this role, Yohannes served as a Senior Associate in Upstream Manufacturing at Abzena, specializing in the aseptic production and maintenance of mammalian cell cultures. Yohannes' background includes positions as Sr Tech Transfer Specialist and Senior Research Specialist at Cibus, focusing on gene delivery, cytometric analysis, and rapid trait development in cell lines. Additionally, Yohannes has experience in academia, serving as a guest lecturer in Biotechnology Instrumentation at City College, and conducted research on plant biotechnology at the Ethiopian Institute for Agricultural Research. Education includes an MSc. in Plant Biotechnology from Universiti Putra Malaysia and ongoing studies at San Diego State University.
