Mike Gordon

Mike is Technical Director of Perspective (North East) Ltd, a Chartered Financial Planner which is regarded as the profession's highest accolade, and a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society.

With over 35 years’ experience, Mike advises clients on all aspects of pensions and financial planning, particularly for individuals before and after retirement. He prides himself on trying to explain complex issues and make things understandable.

He is an expert on Annual and Lifetime Allowance and their impact on members of the NHS Pension schemes and the Universities Superannuation scheme which are areas where very specific advice is required.

Mike was one of the first Chartered Financial Planners when this qualification was introduced in 2006, and the broad range of his experience has helped him become a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society. He is also an Associate member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). His first job in financial services in 1984 was in the group pensions department of a large insurance company. Since then he gained experience as a broker consultant before becoming an IFA in 1997.
