Valentina Carapella

Valentina Carapella has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Valentina started their career as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at the Oxford e-Research Centre in 2014 and worked there until 2015. Valentina then joined the Oxford Centre for Clinical Magnetic Resonance Research at the University of Oxford as an Image Analyst from 2015 to 2016.

In 2017, Valentina became a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Simula Research Laboratory, where they worked until 2018. Valentina then joined King's College London as a Postdoctoral Researcher from 2018 to 2019.

Currently, Valentina is working at Perspectum Ltd, starting in 2019. Valentina has held multiple roles within the company, including Data Scientist from 2019 to 2021, Software Engineer from 2021 to 2023, and currently as a Product Lead from 2023.

Valentina Carapella received their Bachelor's degree in Computational and Applied Mathematics from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna in 2006. Valentina then pursued a Master's degree in Bioinformatics from the same institution, completing it in 2009. Valentina continued their education at the University of Oxford, where they obtained their Ph.D. in Computational Biology from 2009 to 2014. In 2016, Valentina obtained a certification in Python for Everybody - Learn to Program and Analyze Data with Python from Coursera. Currently, Valentina is studying Clinical Trials at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, U. of London, with an ongoing program.
