James Burk

James Burk, MSOH, CIH, serves as the Global EH&S Director at Libbey Inc. since January 2020, bringing extensive experience in environmental, health, and safety management. Prior roles include Corporate Environmental, Health and Safety at Owens Corning from May 2007 to January 2020, EHS Manager at Hydro Aluminum in 2006, and Regional HES Coordinator at Sunoco/Sunoco Logistics from 2000 to 2006. Additionally, James held the position of Safety Engineer at Ford Motor Company from 1994 to 2000 and Geologic Services Manager at BEC Laboratories, Inc. from 1989 to 1994, preceded by an Assistant General Manager role at Environmental Consultants Inc. from 1986 to 1989. Academically, James earned an MSOH in Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene from the Medical College of Ohio between 1992 and 1999, and a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from The University of Toledo from 1979 to 1986.
