Jess Taylor has an extensive work experience spanning over 30 years. Jess began their career in 1988 as a Research Seismologist at ISMES, SpA in Bergamo, Italy. In 1994, they moved to EQE International as a Senior Consultant in Catastrophic Financial Risk Estimation from Earthquake Hazards. In 1996, they joined IBIS Consulting as a Senior Consultant in Natural Gas Transportation and Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) as a Business and Technical Consultant. In 1998, they moved to Proxicom as a Senior Consultant in Natural Gas Transportation and in 1999, they joined Eunosia as a Director of Technology. In 2000, they joined Dimension Data as a Director of Multi-Channel Computing and in 2001, they joined Blackstone Technology Group as a Senior Account Manager in the Energy Practice. In 2008, they founded Pervasent, Inc. as a Founder and Board Director, providing the widely used tablet-based board meeting management solution BoardPapers\u00ae. In 2013, they founded Blue Rocket, Inc. as a Founder and CEO, a full-service mobile design and development company.
Jess Taylor obtained a B.S. in Geophysics from the University of California, Berkeley between 1980 and 1985. Jess then received an M.S. in Geophysics from UC Santa Barbara between 1985 and 1988. In 1991 and 1993, they earned an MBA in Finance from the University of Southern California and SDA Bocconi, respectively. Additionally, in 2017, Jess obtained a certificate in Internet of Things: Business Implications and Opportunities from MIT Sloan Executive Education. In 2018, they earned two Coursera Course Certificates, one in Social and Economic Networks: Models and Analysis and the other in Machine Learning.
