Wendy Chen

Wendy Chen has a diverse and extensive work experience. Wendy started their career at Pöyry Management Consulting as a Summer Intern in November 2014. Wendy then worked as an Intern at Consulting & Implementation Services (CIS) in January 2015. From July 2014 to July 2015, they served as a Project Manager and Project Consultant at Global Consulting Group.

In 2016, Wendy joined Australia Post and held various roles including Finance Analyst - Group Financial Control, Finance Analyst - Planning and Reporting Centre of Excellence, and Intrapreneur - Corporate Innovation (Secondment). Wendy also worked as an Investment Analyst - Corporate Finance & Commercial Advisory from June 2017 to May 2019.

After their tenure at Australia Post, Wendy joined Cube Group as a Consultant from May 2019 to June 2021. Wendy then became an Associate from July 2021 to November 2021. During their time at Cube Group, they gained valuable experience in strategic initiatives and start-ups as a Senior Business Analyst.

Wendy's work experience also includes being a Design Chapter Member at Folklore Ventures from November 2022 to December 2022, and a Women Fellow at Startmate from September 2022 onwards. At Startmate, they participated in a two-month program that fast-tracked exceptional women into the start-up ecosystem.

Most recently, Wendy joined Perx Health in February 2023 as a Finance Manager. In this role, they are responsible for leading and growing the Finance function and supporting the company's strategic BizOps projects.

In addition to their work experience, Wendy also pursued their education at the University of Melbourne and obtained valuable skills in business analysis and strategic initiatives.

Wendy Chen completed their Master of Finance degree from Melbourne Business School from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Business English and Finance from the University of International Business and Economics, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. In 2012, Wendy participated in a summer exchange program at the University of Cambridge, focusing on Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies. Before their undergraduate studies, they attended the English School Attached to Guangdong University of Foreign Studies from 2003 to 2009. Wendy also pursued additional education in the field of finance, completing the Chartered Accountants Foundations program from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand in 2016-2017. Wendy also attended a financial modeling program at JPA Financial Modelling in 2017. Additionally, Wendy briefly engaged with the CFA Institute for a program in 2014.
