Campaigns Strategy Director at PETA

Dana Peer has a strong background in animal welfare and advocacy. Dana currently works as the Campaigns Strategy Director at PETA, a position they have held since July 2022. Prior to that, they were the Director of Strategy for the Students Opposing Speciesism program at PETA from December 2020 to January 2022.

Before joining PETA, Dana worked as a Program Manager at Challenge 22, where they established and managed the UK branch of the organization. Dana also worked on an international project called Community 22, collaborating with a grantee animal rights organization in Thailand. During their time at Challenge 22 from July 2018 to December 2020, they successfully increased program participation and managed a team of 1000 volunteers worldwide.

At IDF Widows & Orphans Organization, they served as the Head of Resource Development & International Relations from July 2016 to July 2018. Dana also worked as the Fundraising Manager Europe for a brief period in 2016. At World Animal Protection, they worked as a Campaigns Intelligence Research Officer from April 2011 to February 2014 and had a short internship in Campaigns Research and Strategies in early 2011.

Dana Peer completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) Hons degree in Psychology at the University of Sussex from 2005 to 2008. Later, Dana pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Animal Welfare at the University of Northampton from 2010 to 2011.
