John Tynan

John Tynan has a wealth of experience in the field of diagnostics development. John began their career in 1995 as a Lab Associate at Quest Diagnostics. John then moved on to University of California, San Diego as a Staff Research Associate in 1997. In 2000, they became a Graduate Student Researcher at Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute. In 2006, they joined Sequenom, Inc. as a Scientist I - Scientist II in Research and Development. In 2010, they were promoted to Group Leader - Sr. Group Leader in Diagnostics Development and Sr. Scientist I - Sr Scientist II in Diagnostics Development at Sequenom Laboratories. In 2016, they were promoted to Director of Diagnostics Development at Sequenom Laboratories / LabCorp. Most recently, they were appointed Vice President of Assay Development at PetDx in 2020.

John Tynan completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biotechnology from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona in 1994, following which they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Molecular Pathology from UC San Diego, which they completed in 2005.
