Professor Gail Risbridger

Professor Gail Risbridger is a prominent academic with extensive experience in reproductive endocrinology and cancer research. Since 2001, Professor Risbridger has held the position of Professor and Deputy Dean - Strategic Projects at Monash University. Additionally, since April 2016, Professor Risbridger has been a Group Leader for the Prostate Cancer Research Program at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. Professor Risbridger has been involved with Andrology Australia as an Executive Management Committee and Board Member since 2000, and has served as the Head of the Prostate Cancer Research Group since January 1996. Previously, from 2006 to September 2022, Professor Risbridger was a Principal Research Fellow at the National Health & Medical Research Council. Furthermore, from 2012 to April 2016, Professor Risbridger served as the Research Director and Chair of the Executive Committee for the Monash Comprehensive Cancer Consortium. Educational qualifications include a PhD from Monash University, a Master of Science from the University of Strathclyde, a Diploma of Education from the University of Oxford, and a Bachelor of Science with Honours from the University of Sussex.
