Vanessa O'Shaughnessy

Vanessa O'Shaughnessy currently serves as the Chief Communications Officer at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre since March 2020 and as a Director at Myeloma Australia since November 2022, where the organization focuses on supporting individuals affected by myeloma. Previous experience includes various roles at the Department of Health & Human Services in Victoria, where Vanessa held positions such as Director of Portfolio Communications and Head of Communications for Health and Ambulance, along with other strategic communication and stakeholder engagement roles within the public sector. Vanessa began a career in journalism as a Financial Markets and Banking Journalist at The Age before transitioning into communications management roles at ANZ. Educational qualifications include a Global Executive MBA from Monash University, a Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance from Kaplan Professional, and a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and Marketing from Monash University.
