Karen Power

As our Director, Human Resources, Karen is responsible for driving Peterson’s people initiatives and optimizing the employee experience. She brings over 13 years of HR management experience across various industries, and she is passionate about cultivating environments where people thrive. Karen previously worked for Peterson leading the HR team from 2013-2018 and rejoining the team in 2020 as a trusted advisor to oversee all of Peterson’s HR needs across the country.

Graduating with her Bachelor of Arts Psychology from the Simon Fraser University, Karen furthered her education at British Columbia Institute of Technology (Certificate in Human Resources Management), and obtained her designation as a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) in 2010.

Karen is a firm believer in mentorship and has been an active member of CPHR as a volunteer mentor and Professional Mentoring Committee member for several years.
