Marcello de Souza

Marcello de Souza has extensive experience in the naval architecture and marine engineering field, currently serving as Hull Integrity and Legal Compliance Manager at Petrobras since June 2009. Responsibilities include ensuring legal compliance with various authorities and managing the integrity of hull structures, mooring systems, and life-saving appliances. Prior roles at Petrobras include Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering Manager for the Santos Basin Business Unit and Barge Supervisor (Trainee), focusing on coordination of marine operations and inspections. Earlier experience at Projemar S.A. involved designing ships and platforms with an emphasis on oil tankers. Marcello holds an MBA in Business Administration from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas, a post-graduation in Engineering of Floating Offshore Systems, and a degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro.
