Shi Song Ngiam

Shi Song Ngiam has had extensive work experience in the oil and gas industry. They started their career as a Research Engineer at NDE Centre, UCL in 2002. From 2006 to 2007, they worked as a Consulting Engineer at Bureau Veritas.

In 2007, they joined Petrofac as a Senior Consultant and later moved up to the position of Team Leader/Senior Consultant. They then served as an Operations Manager/Senior Consultant and subsequently as an Operating Integrity & Engineering Manager.

From 2014 to 2016, Ngiam held the position of Operating Integrity & Engineering Manager at Petrofac, where they developed and implemented PM304's Operating Integrity Management System.

They then took on the role of Head of Production Operations from 2016 to 2018, followed by dual positions of Operating Integrity & Engineering Manager and Acting Operations Manager, where they managed asset integrity and oversaw day-to-day operations and maintenance activities at Petrofac Malaysia.

In 2019, they became an Asset Manager at Petrofac, accountable for managing PM304 Block's operating assets. Their role involved managing operations and maintenance, HSE, reliability and asset integrity, and facility management.

Currently, Ngiam is the Head of Operations at Petrofac, responsible for leading the Operations department and delivering safe and reliable production operations for PM304 operating assets.

Shi Song Ngiam holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Mechanical Engineering from UCL, along with a Master of Science (MSc) degree in the same field from the same institution. Prior to that, Ngiam pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nottingham. The specific start and end years for these degrees are not provided.
