Mustafa al Lawati

Mustafa Al Lawati is an experienced chemical engineer with a strong background in the oil and gas industry, currently serving as a Senior Hydrogen Concept Engineer at Petroleum Development Oman since January 2023, focusing on Blue Hydrogen and CCUS projects. Previously, Mustafa held various roles at Petroleum Development Oman from August 2012 to November 2022, including Lead Concept Engineer and Senior Concept Engineer, where responsibilities included delivering multiple projects in the Bahja Rima cluster. Additional experience includes serving as a Process Engineer, overseeing the design of medium to large-scale projects such as the Mabrouk Gas Plant, and providing operational support at significant facilities like the Saih Rawl Central Processing Facility. Prior to these roles, Mustafa worked as a Process Engineer at Tebodin & Partner Oman and completed internships at Petroleum Development Oman and Oman Refineries and Petrochemicals Company LLC. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and a Diploma in Engineering from Monash University and Monash College, respectively.
