Prakash Kumar Karunakaran

Prakash Kumar Karunakaran has extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, currently serving as Head of Technology Digital Solutions and Head of NervCentre at PETRONAS since September 2010, where leadership drives the integration of traditional engineering with digital solutions. Previous roles include Custodian Engineer and Discipline Head for Advanced Process Control, providing optimization solutions across various sectors. Prior to the current role, Prakash was Principal Engineer at PETRONAS Melaka Refinery, leading advanced control technology implementations, and held multiple positions at PETRONAS LNG Complex, focusing on process control and instrumentation. Prakash's education includes a Bachelor of Applied Science in Applied Physics and Computer Science from Universiti Sains Malaysia.
