Zayd Umair Zakaria

Zayd Umair Zakaria is a Senior Executive at PETRONAS, specializing as a Production Technology Data Analyst since February 2022, focusing on data operations and upstream technology. Previously, Zayd spent nearly nine years at PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd in various roles including Senior Petroleum Engineer, where contributions were made to petroleum asset excellence. Zayd also has extensive experience as a petrophysicist, having worked on formation evaluation and operational optimization at Carigali-PTTEPI Operating Company. Technical expertise is highlighted through published papers on petrophysics techniques and novel formation testing. Zayd holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology and has also undertaken internships and research assistantships that strengthened skills in data analysis and vendor evaluation.
