Emily Smith

Emily Smith is an accomplished data science professional with extensive experience in key roles. Currently serving as Head of Data Science at Pets at Home since January 2020, Emily previously held positions as a Senior Data Scientist and Data Scientist. Prior experience includes a Data Scientist role at BJSS from August 2017 to December 2019, where notable projects involved using Facebook Prophet for case forecasting and convolutional neural networks for image deduplication. Earlier, at BAE Systems Digital Intelligence from September 2014 to July 2017, contributions included developing a Hierarchical Bayesian Network for assessing insider threat risks and generating cyber scoring analytics. Emily holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Statistics from the University of Glasgow, earned in June 2014, following education at Hamilton College Scotland from 2003 to 2010.
