Cheryl Penava

Cheryl Penava currently serves as the Chief People Officer at PetVet Care Centers, overseeing the People/HR function for a leading veterinary services provider with over 450 locations nationwide since August 2024. Prior experience includes roles as Chief People and Brand Officer at Healogics, Inc., where Cheryl championed a people-first philosophy from August 2020 to August 2024, and Vice President of Experience & Engagement. Cheryl also held multiple leadership positions at Mortenson Dental Partners from April 2015 to August 2020, including VP Practice Excellence and VP Learning and Development, enhancing operations and learning for a Dental Services Organization. Additionally, Cheryl owned Penava Communications, LLC, specializing in business communication coaching from January 2005 to January 2019, and contributed to professional development at Humana as a Learning Manager and Leadership Development Consultant.
