Alissa Skelton

Alissa Skelton is a Senior Communications Associate at The Pew Charitable Trusts, leading international communication efforts and content creation for ocean conservation projects worldwide. Prior to this role, Alissa worked as a Government and Politics Staff Writer at The Virginian-Pilot, where Alissa wrote stories with speed and accuracy as the lead government writer for the largest city in Virginia. Alissa also has experience as a Reporter at Omaha World-Herald and as a Legislature Reporter at Associated Press, covering politics and the 2013 Nebraska legislative session. Alissa has a Bachelor of Journalism degree with majors in Advertising and Public Relations, Journalism, and Political Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
