Elaine Bowman leads human resources at The Pew Charitable Trusts. She oversees Pew's people strategy and is responsible for delivering a strong vision for HR as a strategic business partner with stakeholders across the organization. Bowman develops, implements, and maintains best practices in talent acquisition, organizational design, staff development, performance and talent management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and internal communications.
Prior to joining Pew in October 2015, Bowman served as vice president of human resources at World Wildlife Fund. She also has held leadership roles with The St. Paul Companies and performed management consulting with Arthur Andersen.
Bowman holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Maryland and a master’s in industrial and organizational psychology from the University of Akron.
