J. Howard Pew II is the current Director at The Pew Charitable Trusts. Before that, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at John Jay College from September 2013 to August 2020. J. also worked as a Jack & Lewis Research Fellow at the Research & Evaluation Center, John Jay College from July 2017 to July 2019, where they were responsible for the management and assessment of large-scale datasets, aided in the construction of performance measures identified by stakeholders, and disseminated reports to practitioner-oriented audiences. From January 2012 to May 2012, they interned at the Supreme Court of the U.S., shadowing detectives in applied field experience and aiding in the management of criminal reports involving victims and suspects. From August 2011 to December 2012, they were a Campaign Coordinator at MaryPIRG.
J. Howard Pew II received their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Criminal Justice from John Jay College (CUNY), their Master's Degree in Criminal Justice from John Jay College (CUNY), and their Bachelor's Degree in Criminology and Psychology (Double Major) from the [University of Maryland.
