John Scott is currently the Director of the Retirement Savings Project at The Pew Charitable Trusts. Prior to this role, Scott served as an Adjunct Associate Research Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and as a Research Scientist at the UNC Institute on Aging. John has also worked in various roles related to retirement policy, including as the Director of Retirement Policy at the American Benefits Council and as the Vice President at UAM Retirement Plan Services, Inc. Scott's educational background includes a PhD in Sociology from Cornell University, a JD in Law from Penn State Dickinson Law, a Masters of Arts in Sociology from The University of Maryland, College, and a BA in Economics from Swarthmore College.
