Sandy Ford Pew is the Director at The Pew Charitable Trusts. Sandy has dedicated their life to journalism and helping others. Sandy started their career as a Story Planning Editor at the Orlando Sentinel in 1987 and then moved on to Investigative Reporter and Editor. In 2009, Sandy won the George Polk Award for Environmental Reporting. Sandy then went on to work for Shark Attack Survivors for Shark Conservation before taking their current position at The Pew Charitable Trusts.

Sandy Ford Pew is a graduate of The Johns Hopkins University, where they earned their Master's degree in Environmental sciences and policy. Sandy also holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Florida.
