Mohammad Saiful Islam

Mohammad Saiful Islam has held a variety of roles in the financial operations field since 2005. From 2005 to 2007, they were an Assistant Officer at NCC Bank Ltd., where they were responsible for supervising remittance through Arab National Bank, KSA and correspondence with other NCCBL Branches, as well as working and supervising ATM (E-Cash) and Credit Card (VISA) operations. In 2007, they became an Officer Grade-1 at BRAC Bank Limited, where they were responsible for issuing, acquiring settlement, and account maintenance for VISA Card, as well as processing copy requests, chargebacks, and performing monthly record keeping reports. In 2008, they became a Compliance Officer at Placid Express, where they were the coordinator of Agent and Payee Acquisition & Termination Committee, and was responsible for updating Agent Information Files, preparing daily transmission reports, and performing OFAC updates. From 2009 to 2016, they were an Operations Specialist at Planet, where they performed business-operation functions, such as reconciliation, settlement, and exception processing, as well as researching business issues related to processing. Finally, from 2016 to present, they have been a Sr. Financial Operations Analyst at PEX, where they perform daily reconciliation of card transactions, manages exception processing, adjustments, and funding files, and reviews electronic payment processing of ACH and Wire transactions.

Mohammad Saiful Islam has an education history that includes a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science & Engineering from Queens University, which they obtained between 1998 and 2002. Mohammad Saiful later obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from The City College of New York, which they are still pursuing. Additionally, they have obtained certifications from Nacha and Visa, including a Certificate of Completion from the Payments Institute and trainings on Dispute and Chargeback Management System and how transactions are authorized, cleared and settled through Visa's BASE-I, BASE-II and SMS systems.
