Richard Pesner has a diverse work experience spanning from 1989 to present. Richard started their career in the Federal Government as the Director of Aboriginal Business Canada, Quebec and Eastern Arctic, where they managed a team of 25 and supported the development of businesses in Aboriginal territories. Richard then served as the Executive Director of the Foundation for the YMYWHA from 2008 to 2010. In 2003, they joined YM_YWHA as the Director of Financial Resource Development, a position they held for 10 years. Currently, Richard is the President of R. Pez & Associates, a role they have held since 2013.
Richard Pesner completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in metallurgy at McGill University, where they attended from 1963 to 1969. Later, they pursued an Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) at the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 1970 to 1971.
