Abhishek Vartak

Abhishek Vartak is a Senior Scientist at Pfizer since February 2021, specializing in conjugation chemistry for vaccine research and development. Previously, Abhishek served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Yueming Li Lab at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center from July 2019 to February 2021, where efforts focused on drug design and development, notably in designing small molecules for Alzheimer's disease and cancer treatment. Abhishek's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from The University of Toledo, where research involved multi-component glyco-peptide immuno-therapeutics and complex oligosaccharide synthesis. Education also includes a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology from the Institute of Chemical Technology, alongside a postgraduate degree in Synthetic Chemistry from Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Early experience includes a summer internship at Dr. Reddy's Laboratories.
