Douglas Wessel

Douglas Wessel has a diverse range of work experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. Douglas started their career as a Medical Education professional at Novartis in 2007. Subsequently, they worked as a Consultant Pharmacist at Pharma-Care, Inc, from 2007 to 2021. In this role, they educated healthcare providers, reviewed medication regimens, and ensured compliance with laws and regulations. From 2013 to 2014, they served as an Antipsychotic Reduction Project Coordinator at HQSI, where they successfully led a team to reduce the use of unnecessary antipsychotics. Douglas also presented their project's successes at multiple conferences. Additionally, they briefly worked as a Staff Pharmacist at the Covid Field Hospital in 2020. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated strong communication skills and a commitment to optimizing patient care and medication utilization.

Douglas Wessel attended Rutgers University–New Brunswick from 1998 to 2007, where they obtained a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree in the field of Pharmacy.
