Sophie van der Wansem

Sophie van der Wansem is a seasoned professional in health innovations and project management, currently serving as a Product Designer at PharmAccess Foundation since February 2015. Specializing in the design and development of mobile health products targeting lower-income populations, Sophie employs human-centered design methods and lean product development to enhance health financing solutions in Kenya and Nigeria. Previous roles at PharmAccess include Project Manager and Junior Project Manager focused on the M-TIBA health platform, along with initial experience in demand-side financing. Earlier positions include an internship in mobile banking with PHB Development, where Sophie assisted in evaluating mobile banking impacts in Rwanda, and an internship in food security at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Educational qualifications comprise a Master of Science in International Development Studies from Wageningen University & Research and a Bachelor of Arts in International Organizations and International Relations from the University of Groningen.
