Anita Tee

Medical & Wellness Writer, Facts vs Fitness at Pharmacists.org

I carry a Master of Science in Personalized Nutrition, and a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology (specialized in the areas of Genetics & Microbiology). My focus is on a scientifically-backed approach to natural health care, however, my combination of education gives me the unique advantage of understanding both holistic and mainstream medical approaches at an advanced level. I have used this knowledge to build two successful companies in the health sciences industry.

I have spent much of my academic and writing career researching the topics of how nutrition and lifestyle factors influence obesity, weight loss and, digestive disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). I am also well versed in numerous other topics involving chronic illness and longevity such as nutritional influences on various cancers, Alzheimer's disease, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, pregnancy, exercise performance, mobility into old age, and much more. My scientific research on obesity and microbiota has also been published by the British Association of Nutritional Therapists as the featured article in the April 2016 issue.
