Chinyere Onyirimba

Chinyere Onyirimba has a diverse background in the field of pharmacy. From 2017 to 2020, they worked as a Pharmacy Intern at CVS Pharmacy and gained experience in various aspects of pharmacy practice. In 2018, they joined the Johns Hopkins Hospital as a Clinical Pharmacy Intern, where they continued to develop their skills in a hospital setting until 2020. Chinyere also completed several externships during their fourth year of pharmacy school, including positions at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital, AstraZeneca, Drug City Pharmacy, and the University of Maryland Medical Center.

In 2019, Chinyere became actively involved in professional organizations and community service. Chinyere served as the National Bridging the Gap Chair for the Student National Pharmaceutical Association from 2019 to 2020 and was a Member of the Board of Directors for Teens With a Purpose starting in 2021.

Chinyere's commitment to advancing their career led their to pursue specialized training and education. Chinyere completed a PGY-1 Community-Based Pharmacy Residency from 2020 to 2021 and then a PGY-2 Health System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Residency at Baylor Scott & White Health from 2021 to 2022. Chinyere currently holds the position of Clinical Pharmacist Specialist at Baylor Scott & White Health.

In 2023, Chinyere will take on a new role as the Director of Coaches (Clinical) at Pharmacy Initiative Leaders (PILs), Inc. This position reflects their leadership skills and expertise in clinical pharmacy.

Chinyere Onyirimba, PharmD, MBAc completed their Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree at Notre Dame of Maryland University from 2016 to 2020. Prior to that, they pursued their undergraduate studies in Health Preparation and Professional Science with a focus on Interdisciplinary Science at Virginia Commonwealth University from 2011 to 2015. Currently, Chinyere is pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Business Intelligence & Data Analytics at UMass Global, expected to be completed in 2023.
