Balachandra Bandodkar

Balachandra Bandodkar is a seasoned professional in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry, currently serving as Senior Director at Pharmaron since December 2015, where the focus is on directing chemistry efforts to support partners in achieving their milestones. Prior to Pharmaron, Bandodkar held the position of General Manager NCE at Alkem Laboratories Ltd., establishing a drug discovery unit dedicated to bone health therapies. Earlier experience includes roles at AstraZeneca India as Associate Director in Chemistry and Team Leader in Medicinal Chemistry, along with significant contributions as a Research Scientist focused on infectious diseases. Bandodkar's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Organosilicon chemistry from Bangalore University and an MSc in Organic chemistry from Karnatak University.
