Mark Mierzwa, PharmD, BCPP has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Mark started their career as a Pharmacy Technician at Walmart from 1997 to 2000. Mark then worked as a Pharmacist at Walgreens Pharmacy in 2000 before joining PharMerica / Hawaii State Hospital in 2001 as a Clinical Pharmacist. During their time there, they coordinated department services, provided optimal customer service, and oversaw various programs and services. In 2004, they were promoted to Director of Pharmacy, where they managed budgets, inventory, and operations for psychiatric facilities. In 2005, Mark Mierzwa moved on to work as the Assistant Director of Pharmacy at Saint Barnabas Behavioral Health Center Inc., where they directed daily pharmacy operations and managed an ASHP Accredited PGY1 Residency program. Mark joined PharMerica in 2010 and currently serves as the Director of Pharmacy, overseeing departmental and program operations, improving profitability and efficiency, and growing industry talent. Mark has also been directing the PGY2 Psychiatric Residency Program since 2010.

Mark Mierzwa, PharmD, BCPP completed their Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree at Rutgers University. Mark further pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Health/Health Care Administration/Management at West Texas A&M University. Mark Mierzwa obtained the BCPP certification from the Board of Pharmacy Specialties in December 2005. Mark is also a licensed pharmacist in Hawaii, New Jersey, and New York. Additionally, they hold certifications in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS), Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery, and has a Protecting Human Research Participants (PHRP) Certificate from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Office of Extramural Research (OER).
