Carl Bufe

Carl Bufe has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Carl started their career in 2002 as a Senior Oncology Pharmacist at the Eastern Cape Department of Health. Carl later worked as a Clinical Pharmacist at Hawke's Bay District Health Board and as a Production/Oncology Pharmacist at NHS England. In 2009, they joined Icon Group as a Senior Oncology and Hematology Pharmacist and Quality Advisor. Carl then worked as a Pharmacist in Charge and Manager at HPS before joining UnitingCare Health as a Cancer Services Pharmacist and Quality Systems Advisor. In 2017, they became the Director of Pharmacy at HPS. Carl then moved on to Pharma To Market in 2018, where they served as a Senior Drug Safety and Regulatory Affairs Associate for APAC. Carl later joined ProPharma as a Pharmacovigilance Manager for APAC and then became the Global Regulatory Intelligence Lead - Key Accounts. Currently, they are working at PharmOut as the Director of Pharmacovigilance, where they partner with clients to manage their pharmacovigilance, regulatory, vigilance, clinical, and medicine information needs.

Carl Bufe has a diverse education history. Carl obtained a Bachelor (HONS) degree in Pharmacy from Rhodes University between 1997 and 2001. Carl then pursued a Bachelor in Commerce degree specializing in Risk and Finance Management from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika from 2003 to 2007. In 2008 to 2010, they attended Massey University, where they completed a postgraduate diploma in Quality Management Systems in the field of study of Quality Management Systems. In addition to their formal education, Carl has also obtained several certifications in various fields such as AI, machine learning, data analytics, and quality management systems.
