Franz Schaub

Franz Schaub has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Franz currently holds the position of Vice President of Business Development at Phase Genomics, a role they have held since June 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Business Development at the same company from April 2023 to June 2023. Before joining Phase Genomics, Franz worked as the Senior Director of Field Science, Biopharma Partnerships at Unified Patient Network from October 2022 to December 2022. Franz also served as the Director of Molecular Science Partnering at Caris Life Sciences from April 2021 to October 2022.

Between 2016 and 2021, Franz held multiple positions at SEngine Precision Medicine and Cure First. At SEngine Precision Medicine, they served as the Associate Director of Drug Discovery and Business Development from November 2018 to March 2021, and as the Principal Scientist from September 2016 to November 2018. At Cure First, they worked as the Associate Director of Research from November 2016 to March 2021.

Prior to these roles, Franz gained research experience at Moffitt Cancer Center and Scripps Research, where they worked as a Post Doc Fellow from July 2014 to August 2016 and a Research Associate from November 2010 to June 2014, respectively. Franz also worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow and a PhD Student at the Department of Biomedicine, University Hospital Basel, from January 2010 to November 2010 and from October 2005 to December 2009, respectively. Franz started their career as a Master Student at the University Hospital Basel from August 2001 to August 2005.

Franz Schaub obtained their Master of Science degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Basel, where they studied from 2001 to 2005. Following that, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Molecular Genetics at the same university from 2005 to 2009.
