David Pereira has held several roles in their work experience. David began their career in 2012 as a Graduate Research Assistant at UCLA, where they developed innovative methods to improve the sensitivity of lateral-flow assays and designed assays for malaria and chlamydia biomarkers. In 2013, they worked as a Mathematics and Science Tutor at Creative Academics, providing tutoring and test preparation for high school students with cognitive learning disabilities. In 2017, they joined PHASE Scientific USA as a Lead Applications Scientist, and later moved to Phase Scientific International Limited in the same role. In these positions, they conducted clinical studies, managed collaborations, and interfaced with customers. David also conducted feasibility and validation studies for various products, resulting in FDA authorizations. Throughout their career, they have written and edited various documents related to grants, study protocols, and regulatory documentation.
David Pereira earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biochemistry from UC Santa Barbara in 2012. David then went on to complete their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering at UCLA from 2012 to 2017. In addition to their formal education, David has obtained various certifications, including Content Marketing Foundations, Learning to Write Marketing Copy, Project Management Foundations, Project Management Foundations: Teams, Writing in the Sciences, Access 2016 Essential Training, Statistics Fundamentals - Part 1: Beginning, and Statistics Fundamentals - Part 2: Intermediate.
