Mels van Hoolwerff

Mels van Hoolwerff has a diverse work experience background in various industries. Mels is the Managing Director & Founder of PHATFOUR, a company established in 2018 that focuses on vehicles, craftsmanship, and design. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Financial Officer at Solar Monkey from 2015 to 2018 and currently holds a position on the Board of Advisors at the same company. Additionally, Mels van Hoolwerff served as the Chairman at Stichting Zonnegarant since 2015, where they ensured the guaranteed energy output of solar panel systems. Mels also founded Laros B.V., a startup that combines luxury, design, and comfort with innovative high-tech products from 2012 to 2014. Finally, they briefly held the role of Teamleader at Flexbankers in 2014.

Mels van Hoolwerff obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mechanical Engineering from TU Delft, where they studied from 2006 to 2012. After completing their undergraduate studies, they pursued further education at Delft University of Technology from 2012 to 2014. During this time, they earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Sustainable Energy Technology.
