Ron Bakker

Ron Bakker has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Ron is currently serving as the Manager of Engineering at Phenix Real Time Solutions, where they oversee the delivery of real-time video streaming solutions with minimal latency. Prior to this, Ron founded and served as the CTO of Mindlight, a technical studio that offers innovative solutions and transformation services using technologies like Machine Learning, AI, and Mixed Reality. Ron has also acted as the CTO of DEEP I/O, where they coordinated a data science research platform for healthcare industry clients. Ron has held the position of Technical Director at yellowBird, where they managed the development of a hardware/software platform for streaming 360-degree/VR videos. Ron's experience also includes working as a Technical Lead at Seluxit ApS, where they contributed to the development of IoT solutions, and as the Head of Software Development at Notenbomer Internet Center, where they led large DevOps teams and managed the implementation of document and process management systems. Additionally, Ron was a Lead Software Engineer at Digimotions BV, where they focused on 3D technology for real-time visualization and simulation in the games industry.

Ron Bakker completed their Bachelor of Science degree in 2007 from Hanzehogeschool Groningen / Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen. Prior to that, they attended the University of Groningen from 1990 to 1996. Ron completed their VWO (pre-university education) at Menso Alting College from 1984 to 1990, focusing on Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (B), Dutch, English, and German.
