Matthew Ishmael has extensive work experience in the aviation industry, specifically in the air medical field. Matthew has held various leadership positions at PHI Air Medical, including Regional Director Strategic Growth and Regional Director of the Eastern Region. In these roles, they were responsible for developing and implementing strategic business plans, ensuring safety and compliance, and managing profitability. Prior to that, Matthew served as the Program Director of the Eastern Region at PHI Air Medical. Matthew also has experience in operations and management as the Air Medical Division Manager of Business Operations in Kentucky. Additionally, they have worked as a Franchisee at Firehouse Subs and has held board positions at the Kentucky Association of Air Medical Services and the National Association of Air Medical Communication Specialists. Matthew has also pursued freelance photography and worked as a Communications Specialist at the University of Kentucky. Matthew started their career as a Carpenter Assistant and Safety Officer at Annis and Dreyer Construction.
Matthew Ishmael attended Georgetown College from 2001 to 2002, where they studied Business Administration and Management. Prior to that, they attended Lafayette High School from 1997 to 2001. In addition to their formal education, Matthew obtained several certifications, including Certified Medical Transport Executive from the Association of Air Medical Services in May 2015, Human Performance Practitioner from the University of Idaho in February 2015, Operational Control Specialist from the National Association of Air Medical Communication Specialists in October 2010, Certified Flight Communicator from the National Association of Air Medical Communication Specialists in May 2005, and Basic Emergency Medical Technician from the Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Service in January 2004.
