Steven Sklar

Steven Sklar has extensive experience in tax roles, with their most recent position being Vice President - Global Tax at Phibro Animal Health starting in 2023. Prior to this, they worked as Tax Counsel at Sklar Williams PLLC from 2022 to 2023 and as a Seasonal Turbo Tax Expert at Intuit from February 2023 to April 2023. Steven's earlier experience includes roles such as Vice President - Global Tax at Wiley from 2016 to 2022, Vice President Tax at Veeco from 2015 to 2016, Vice President - Global Tax at Sealed Air Corporation from 2009 to 2015, Chief Tax Advisor at ISP from 2005 to 2009, Vice President & Chief Tax Advisor at GAF Materials Corporation from 2005 to 2009, Chief Tax Advisor at Heyman Companies from 2005 to 2009, and Senior Vice President - Global Finance - Tax Counsel & Project Analysis at MasterCard from 2000 to 2005. Throughout their career, Steven has demonstrated expertise in reducing effective tax rates, repatriating cash, implementing tax strategies, and structuring mergers and acquisitions.

Steven Sklar has a diverse education history. Steven first attended Joel Braverman High School from 1970 to 1974. After that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics at the University of Pennsylvania, completing their studies from 1974 to 1978. During this time, they also obtained the certification of a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the NY State Department of Education in August 1978.

Following their undergraduate education, Steven attended The Wharton School for a master's degree in Accounting. Steven studied there from 1977 to 1978. In addition, they also earned a Master's degree in Accounting and Finance from The Wharton School in 1978.

Continuing their educational journey, Steven attended Columbia Law School from 1978 to 1981, where they earned their Juris Doctor (JD) degree in Law. Subsequently, they further specialized in the field of Taxation by pursuing a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree at New York University School of Law from 1982 to 1985.

To enhance their professional skills and credentials, Steven obtained several certifications throughout their career. Steven became an Attorney in New York State in July 1982. Later, in October 2021, they completed a certification course on Developing Executive Presence from LinkedIn.
