John Matthesen

John was on the team of two startup-to-IPO companies (Sybase and Commerce One). He has extensive operations, engineering and sales experience throughout the US, Europe and Asia and has served as CIO, VP of Asia Sales, and various roles in marketing and Engineering, and was architect of one of the first B2B e-marketplaces. Always on the forefront of technology, he has been COO at an internet advertising company, CEO at a software anti-piracy company, COO at a biotech software company, each with innovative new products. In addition to operations, he has been an active angel investor as well as a venture partner at a SF/China VC (WI Harper). He is an advisor and board member of numerous companies, including fintech, ag-tech and various socially-responsible entities.
