David Lewis

David Lewis is the Staff Liaison to the Board of Trustees at Philander Smith College. David was previously a Postdoctoral Fellow at The University of British Columbia from July 2014 to August 2016. Prior to that, they were a Graduate Student at the California Institute of Technology from September 2008 to June 2014. David has also interned at Merck twice, first in June 2008 to August 2008 where they worked on assay development for Acyl CoA: monoacylglycerol acyltransferase 2 based on UPLC and HPLC, and secondly from June 2007 to August 2007 where they purified proteins using FPLC and did inhibition studies of serine proteases. David started their career as a Research Assistant at The Catholic University of America from January 2004 to December 2007, where they did ultraviolet-visible and fluorescence spectroscopic inhibition studies of thrombin by PPACK.

David Lewis has a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from Caltech and a BS in Biochemistry from The Catholic University of America.
