Megan Schmidt

Senior Director Of Government Affairs at Philanthropy Roundtable

Megan Schmidt currently serves as the Senior Director of Government Affairs at Philanthropy Roundtable, a position held since February 2020, after progressing from Director of Government Affairs and Program Manager within the organization. Prior to this role, Megan was with the Foundation for Government Accountability from January 2018 to February 2020, where responsibilities included State Affairs Manager and State Affairs Coordinator. Earlier experience includes serving as Chief of Staff at the Office of the State Bank Commissioner for a brief period in 2017 and various roles in the Office of Governor Sam Brownback from 2011 to 2018, culminating in the position of Interim Director of Appointments. Megan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Kansas State University, earned between 2008 and 2011.
