Arlene Tanksley

Benchmark Analyst - Department of Finance at Philadelphia Works

Arlene Tanksley has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Arlene began their career in 1978 as a Financial Analyst at Corestates Bank, where they worked until 1987. Following this, they joined the Philadelphia Housing Authority as a Senior Accountant/General Accounting Manager in the Department of Finance, a role they held for 15 years until 2002. In 2004, Tanksley worked as a Data Transcriber at the Internal Revenue Service - Department of the Treasury for a few months before joining the Philadelphia Workforce Development Corporation. At the Philadelphia Workforce Development Corporation, they held two roles, starting as a Budget Analyst from 2004 to 2006, and then transitioning to a Senior Contract Analyst from 2007 to 2012. Most recently, Tanksley worked as a Benchmark Analyst in the Department of Finance at Philadelphia Works, Inc., a position they have held since 2012.

Arlene Tanksley has pursued a diverse education history. In 1975 to 1977, they attended Peirce College, where they obtained an Associate of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Accounting. Following this, from 1978 to 1984, they enrolled at Temple University and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration, again with a concentration in Accounting. Additionally, in 2004, they briefly attended Drexel University for Computerized Business Applications Training (CBAT) in the field of Computer Science.
